AERDF.cloud is an intentionally designed, safe and secure R&D infrastructure that supports all stages of R&D, from: (1) Project Design and Planning, (2) Active Development of Solutions, and (3) Data Collection and Analysis. AERDF.cloud has two primary objectives: to protect student data during data collection and analysis, and to provide tools and supports for conducting inclusive and collaborative work across all stages of R&D, from project planning through development and implementation.
AERDF is committed to generating and supporting inclusive methods to conduct advanced R&D, and is leading the field in operationalizing the best methodologies for conducting R&D for education. See below, to view and select the account type that will best suit you in your current stage of work.
Account Types
-
Foundational for Research
Create a Data Management Plan and Ethics Review
With a Foundational Research account, you will have access to an online application to help in completing your project’s Data Management Plan and Ethics Review/IRB application. R&D project teams also gain access to tailored scientific and legal support to assist teams in completing IRB applications, data management plans, data sharing agreements, and more.
-
Foundational for Development
Build your project plan and develop prototypes
With a Foundational for Development account, software and prototype developer teams gain access to developer tools, such as wikis for project planning and documentation, gitlab and cloud-based compute resources for developing code and software prototypes. Developer teams will also gain access to scientific and engineering technical assistance to aid in architectural design and project planning, implementing privacy and security by design, and sourcing state-of-the-art technical solutions.
-
Production for Research & Development
Launch projects and prototypes in schools
Once R&D projects and prototypes are ready to be applied and tested in practice, R&D teams can be elevated to production accounts. Project Data Management Plans and Ethics Reviews must be completed and approved by AERDF prior to commencing any data collection, and all personnel supporting data collection must complete CITI Training. R&D teams will gain access to tools for collecting, storing, processing and analyzing sensitive research data.
